We can manufacture Wire Rope Slings at our base in Great Yarmouth. We can manufacture slings fully in accordance with BS EN 13414-1, D.N.V. 2.7-1 and BS EN 12079-2 complete with all relevant material certificates. This slings can be made in a wide variety of sizes and constructions including the smaller sizes of 8mm fibre core (f/c) up to 40mm (IWRC). 

Sling Manufacture

We can supply single leg wire rope slings with ferrule secured eyes with a variety of fittings, including master links, quad assemblies and a wide variety of hooks. 


This is an example of a 4 leg wire rope sling generally used for lifting containers and units offshore. We can also supply 2, 3, and 5 leg wire rope slings to suit any offshore container. We have two on site 600 tonne wire rope swaging presses capable of pressing wire rope up to 40mm in diameter.

D.N.V. 2.7-1 Slings

Independent Lifting Services Limited holds a D.N.V. (Det Norske Veritas) type approval for manufacture of wire rope slings in accordance with D.N.V. 2.7-1. Please see our Company Accreditations Page for our current up to date copy of this approval.

Wire Rope Sockets

On top of our wire rope manufacturing we can also supply and fit wire rope sockets to a wide range of wire ropes.
