We have an on site 75 tonne Gantry capable of carry out load testing up to 75 tonne with the use of tie down cables pulled against a calibrated load cell or calibrated test weights. These load tests can be carried out to any standard required including D.N.V.2.7-1, D.N.V. 2.7-3 and BSEN 12079. We welcome all surveyors and customers to witness their equipment being load tested too.
We can also provide vertical impact testing (drop testing) up to 25tonne in accordance with D.N.V.2.7-1.
We have an on site 150 tonne horizontal tensile test bed capable of preforming pull tests up to 150 tonne. We can also carry out destructive testing and prototype testing of various component parts if required.
In accordance with current statutory regulation, companies providing equipment and plant are safe to use and are fit for purpose.
The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) are mandatory applied throughout the UK and have to be complied with.
LOLER aims to reduce Health and Safety Risks to people using lifting equipment. It follows the 1994 Manual Handling Regulations which encourage people to use Lifting equipment. LOLER has been prepared by the Health and Safety Executive for the Health and Safety Commission. LOLER has been made Law under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

When is Proof Load Testing Required?
A proof load test is required on installation of any lifting equipment before the item is brought into service.
There may be other times in the equipment’s life where a proof test is required, e.g.
- Following a weld repair to a structural member
- After a complete overhaul
- Following an incident
- Periodic testing may be required according to the relevant standard
